King County Certifies Primary Election Results

Incumbent Jane Hague received 37.9 percent of the votes for King County Council District 6.

King County has certified the results of the Aug. 16 primary election, and the final tally shows incumbent candidate took 37.9 percent of the vote for King County Council District 6.

Following Hague was Mercer Island attorney with 30.1 percent of the vote. He will face Hague in the general election this November.

Rounding out the District 6 candidates, John Creighton earned 24.30 percent of votes, while Patsy Bonincontri received 7.3 percent.

Voter turnout from District 6, which includes portions of Redmond, was 37,748—or 31.1 percent of registered voters. Total voter turnout from King County was 338,255—30.9 percent of registered voters.

The King County has also be officially approved by voters with 69 percent voting yes on the measure.
