Obama to Make Fundraising Stop in Medina Today

The Seattle PI reports that Obama's visit Sunday includes a stop at a Medina home for a fundraising event, but no public events. The Washington State Department of Transportation says to expect traffic impacts in the Seattle area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

President Barack Obama's scheduled fundraising tour brings him to the Eastside today (Sunday, Sept. 25), but with no public events.

The Seattle PI reported last week that President Barack Obama's scheduled visit Sunday includes a stop at a Medina home for a fundraising event.

The PI reports that events on Sunday include a lunch at the Paramount Theater prepared by celebrity chef Tom Douglas, which will be $100 to $7,500 a seat and an event at ex-Microsoft COO Jon Shirley's Medina home that will cost $35,800 per couple.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says to expect a presidential motorcade in the Seattle area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., though the president's exact itinerary was not made public.
