Sound Transit East Link Public Hearing on the Agenda for Monday's Bellevue Council Meeting

Public testimony on East Link will be taken at 8 p.m. in City Council chambers.

A public hearing on the design options on the Sound Transit East Link light rail line in Bellevue and a negotiated agreement between the city and Sound Transit are on the agenda for next Monday's council meeting.

The council and the Sound Transit board , which will add $276 million to the $2.5 billion cost of the East Link project, which connects Seattle with the Eastside through Mercer Island, Bellevue and Redmond.

The city also aims to include in the agreement how Sound Transit will make sure to lessen the impact to residents in the neighborhoods closest to the light rail, including the Surrey Downs and Enatai neighborhoods.
