13 Bellevue Schools Earn Achievement Award from The State

hirteen of the Bellevue School District's 27 schools have earned a 2010 Washington Achievement Award, which were designed to honor a school's achievement over time, according to the state Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.

BELLEVUE -Thirteen of the 's 27 schools have earned a 2010 Washington Achievement Award, which were designed to honor a school's achievement over time, according to the state Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.

The awards are based on statewide assessment data for the three previous years and uses methodology approved by both OSPI and the State Board of Education.

Bellevue schools were honored in categories ranging from overall excellence to
special recognition for math or science.

“Receiving this award is truly an honor,” said Bellevue Superintendent Amalia Cudeiro in a prepared statement. “I’m especially proud of the fact that Bellevue schools were named from all over the district. This reflects the overall quality of our teachers, principals and staff in providing an outstanding education for all of Bellevue’s students.”
