Search firm McPherson and Jacobson have created a recruitment brochure to help locate a replacement for superintendent for Amalia Cudeiro, who left the district earlier this year.

Bellevue is a "progressive, forward-thinking community," with "a very highly educated adult population," and "is located in one of the most  technology-savvy sectors on the planet, with  major companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Expedia and more nearby."

Assistant superintendent , and she has indicated that she would like to return to her position as head of Instructional Services and School Support.

The brochure is not all roses. The brochure points out that more than 80 languages are spoken in the district and 30 percent of students speak a first language other than English. About one in five students receive free or reduced-priced meals.
