Bellevue Schools Adjust Schedule After Snow Days
Two days that had been scheduled as teacher professional days and Summer Break will be postponed by one day to make up for this week's snow days.
Summer break will be put off for one day this year, as the Bellevue School District announced the following adjustments to the school calendar after three days of snow days this week:
There are many questions about changing the semester end date and adding school days to the calendar. The first two snow make-up days will be added to the District calendar as follows.

One snow make-up day will occur on:
Jan. 30, 2012 for secondary students (this was a professional day for grades 6-12)
March 16, 2012 for elementary students (this was a professional day for grades K-5)
The second snow make-up day will occur on:
June 22, 2012 for all students.

There is some uncertainty about the third snow make-up day based on what the State might allow in terms of waivers. We will let you know as soon as we have more information.
The semester dates and grades for secondary students will be adjusted as follows.
First semester ends Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012
