The boundary review would be the first in 20 years, according to the district.

School boundaries affect which Bellevue school students attend based on where they live. A few of the Bellevue schools, such as Big Picture School and International School, draw students from all over the district because of their specialized programs.

The citizen-based Boundary Review Committee will develop a district wide school assignment recommendation for the superintendent, the district reported. The new school boundaries would be implemented in 2013.

The Boundary review committee will include two parents and a principal or assistant principal from each school with geographic boundaries, the district reported. The committee serves in an advisory role to develop district-wide solution.

According to the district, the committee meetings are tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m. and 8:30 pm every other Wednesday starting Aug. 22 at the Wilburton Instructional Service Center, unless otherwise noted. The meetings will be held through early 2013.
