Getting Off the Merry Go Round: A Half-Day Mini Retreat

Do you feel as though you are going around in circles, without making progress or going anywhere? Do you feel stuck in repetitive patterns and destructive habits in your relationships, work, creative expression, living situation or place in the world? Perhaps you're hoping if you just sit tight, things will change or someone will come along and rescue you. Or perhaps you know the only way off is to take a leap and this frightens you. But how long can you keep your life on hold while you wait for the courage to jump? Maybe you've jumped off only to find yourself retreating back to the old patterns and habits because you fear the unknown. The question is: do you want to keep going round and round or do you want to find a way off that lasts and brings new possibilities into your life?

In this mini retreat we'll take a deep look at where we are in our lives versus where we want to be and identify the patterns and behaviors that keep us stuck. Using some practical tools we will create a life map that reveals what needs to be changed and what steps we can take to make that change. We will each build our own unique bridge between the old and the new and following our own rhythm and pacing, begin the process of transition and ultimately transformation. To create lasting sustainable change, we need support. Each person will also be given tools to create a network of support, both within and outside of the group.

The retreat will be broken down into the following four sections:

I. Self-reflection and exploration
II. Group exercises and discussion
III. Planning
IV. Support & resources

Bring your lunch. Cold drinks and tea will be provided.
