Pacific Science Center Launches New Career Development Opportunity for High School Students in Bellevue
October 6th is the first of eight Saturday sessions for the Environmental Science & Technology Practicum! Be sure to register in advanced, as space is limited.
Do you know a high school student interested in environmental science and clean technology? This fall, the Pacific Science Center at Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue is launching the Environmental Science and Technology Practicum! Space is limited, so register today!
The Practicum is an eight week survey course for high school students from around the region. Students will gain hands-on experience in the field and in our new state-of-the-art wet lab, as well as opportunities to interact with high level professionals from environmental and clean technology disciplines to learn about careers and educational pathways in these fields. This meets an important need in our community as many students express an interest in these fields yet there are few in- or
out-of-school opportunities for in-depth exploration or experience in this realm.
