READERS' CHOICE: Best Preschool in Bellevue

This week, we ask you, Patch users, what is the best preschool in Bellevue. Vote before 9 a.m., Friday to help your favorite preschool reach the No. 1 spot.

Preschool is an important time in any child's life.

Their young minds crave to be molded. They're energetic, fun and just plain cute. We here at Patch understand, and that's why we're asking you, the users, the following:

What's your favorite preschool in Bellevue?

Tell us which of the following is your favorite preschool.

Bright Horizons (three locations listed on Patch - , , -- leave your favorite in the comments or on a review)

Even though we have a poll below, that isn't the only way to boost your favorite school. Click on the links above and rate it on its Patch Place listing and leave a review.

Remember to vote by 9 a.m. Friday. We'll announce the winner later that day.

In the event of a tie, we will break it based on the comments, so please explain your choice.

Don't see your favorite place? Tell us in the comments section.

Because our poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Bellevue Montessori should really be on your list. They have been in business for 45 years, and taught our children pre-K through third grade (they teach through fifth, at least). Our kids loved it there, and it was obvious the staff/faculty did too.

I love Newport Children's School! Their facility, staff & method of instruction is awesome.
Eastside Gurl March 05, 2012 at 04:50 PM
We love Eastside Christian! The pre-school program there is amazing and the staff and parent community go above and beyond.

@C Maarten and Eastside Gurl: That's always the danger in writing up a forced-choice poll -- we'll always leave out someone's favorite. Feel free to put a review in their listing here on Patch, and if we get enough reviews for any preschool, we'll be sure to mention that in Friday's story. Bellevue Montessori's listing is here: http://patch.com/L-j1jJ @Eastside Gurl, is Eastside Christian affiliated with Eastside Christian Community Church? Unfortunately, with at least 60 preschools listed on Bellevue Patch, it was just impossible to include everything in the poll.

I want to select Eastside Christian School as the best pre-school but they are not on the list. Can you please add them.
Venice Buhain March 05, 2012 at 05:04 PM
Hm. OK. I'll add Eastside Christian School and Bellevue Montessori, by early morning demand. I'm a little worried that this is a dangerous road to an impossibly long poll....

Bellevue Country Day School! They are wonderful!

Great to see the addition of Eastside Christian. They are absolutely wonderful. Incredible staff and spirit of the community of families there is unequaled. Thanks for adding them. They've got my vote as well.

Thank you for adding Eastside Christian! They are not affiliated with any church. They have a great Preschool Program as well as an amazing K-8! Thanks again for the quick response!

Samena is a well-established and multi-faceted community center... still growing better for parents & kids after over 50 years -- so many enriching options (including daily swim opportunities) for kids toddler-age through Pre-K. Under Sherie's direction, the teachers are ALL fabulous!

I vote for Eastside Christian School but I don't see a link...
Venice Buhain March 06, 2012 at 11:33 PM
Hi, Emily. You can vote for Eastside Christian in the box above. Eastside Christian is the last one in the list. It turns out we don't have a listing (yet) in our Places Directory for Eastside Christian School. We'll get that taken care of ASAP.

Early World is the best preschool. We love the school and the teachers. Highly recommend it
Abby March 07, 2012 at 05:53 AM
It is a great miss that Early World is not on the list. It is a fantastic school with incredible teachers and director/assistant directors. They provide a positive and caring environment with proactive communication with parents. My sons have learned so much in a fun, hands on, and no pressure environment.

Early World Children's School! Wonderful teachers great curriculum.
MichelleC March 07, 2012 at 05:28 PM
I LOVE discovery garden preschool! It's a great program, and it's structured without feeling corporate. So flexible and the kids have so much fun! I wanted to just comment, not complaining it was missed or anything- i understand it's was hard to narrow down the big list! Bright Horizons are awesome, but very expensive - I think of it more as great preschool daycare then preschool.

Early World Children's School is the best!
Brad March 07, 2012 at 07:42 PM
Early World Children's School in Bellevue is definitely one of the best. They have a great curriculum with very caring staff. I have had 2 children go through their program and have been nothing but impressed with this school!
Sarah March 07, 2012 at 10:34 PM
We moved our four year old son from a Montessori based school to Samena during the middle of the year. This was one of the best decision we have ever made for our whole family. He is now happy, thriving, and excited to go to school. I can't say enough wonderful things about this program. I will be having my two year old start the two's program in the fall.
Venice Buhain March 08, 2012 at 04:22 PM
Thanks for the input so far! By popular demand, I've placed Early World on the poll. Remember -- you can also help your school by writing your review on the preschool's directory listing. That way, you can let people know how great your preschool is, even after this particular poll is history.
M Duitch March 09, 2012 at 01:28 AM
The Bellevue school district has over 800 preschoolers enrolled in their early learning centers located at the districts elementary schools. They should definitely be on the list!
Lacey Hein March 09, 2012 at 04:22 PM
Samena has been great for my 2 year old. She loves her teachers, is learning tons, and has improved her swimming. I highly recommend it and she'll start 5 days a week in the fall.
