VIDEO: Bellevue High School's Band Loves Rock and Roll, Are Runners Up

Bellevue High School named as runner up in The Rock's "The Rock Battle of the Bands."

's band was named as a runner up in The Rock, Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits’ Schools of The Rock Battle of The Bands for their video rendition of “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

The school marching band will receive a pizza party sponsored by Xfinity, according to a competition press release.

South Kitsap High School won the fifth annual Schools of The Rock Battle of the Bands competition, according to the press release. Twenty-eight high school marching bands from across Washington and the Portland, Ore. area competed for the coveted prize based on their video renditions of classic rock ’n’ roll hits.

The celebrity judges included Andy McKeag from The Presidents of the United States of America; Brad McDavid, University of Washington Band Leader; Keith Rousu, Seahawks Blue Thunder Drum Major; Stephen Radclidde, Seattle Youth Symphony Music Director; and Donn Bennett from Donn Bennett Drum Studios.
