Bellevue a Good Place for NHL? Chicago Investor Thinks So
Even as the debate continues over whether a basketball arena is feasible in Seattle, a Chicago investor told the Seattle Times that he wants to put an NHL arena in Bellevue.
Don Levin, owner of the minor league hockey team Chicago Wolves, has toldthe Seattle Times that he is talking with Bellevue officials about the possibility of opening a professional hockey arena in the city.
Levin, who said he has $100 million to invest in that venture, told the Times that Bellevue is a good fit for a hockey team, with numerous restaurants and amenities and .
According to KJR radio, hockey great Wayne Gretzky was in Bellevue yesterday to discuss the possibility with officials.

Bellevue city manager Steve Sarkozy told the Times that Levin is one of a couple team owners that Bellevue is speaking to.
Earlier this year, Sarokozy said after a Bellevue Downtown Association forum on the possibility of a sports arena in Bellevue .
