Bellevue Amateur Poker Player Bests Pros at LA Poker Classic

Sean Jazayeri wins $1.3 million payout in poker competition that will be televised on Fox Sports Net in June.

Sean Jazayeri of Bellevue faced off with professionals and came out on top at the end of the LA Poker Classic, earning him a spot in the World Poker Tour Championship according to reports.

Poker News Report, which has a recap of this week's competition, said that the Bellevue amateur player emerged with a $1.3 million win.

The prize also includes a $25,500 entry into the World Poker Tour Championship in May, which ends the season, according to the Tour's website. The tournament is televised on Fox Sports Net.

Jazayeri told World Poker Tour that he had entered the competition to improve his play, but hadn't expected to win.
