Bellevue Faces Skyline in 2013 Emerald City Kickoff Classic

The fantasy match-up of last season between the Bellevue Wolverines, 2012 3A champions, and the Skyline Spartans, the 2012 4A champions, will be a reality at the 2013 Emerald City Kickoff Classic

So, here it is, fans: Bellevue vs Skyline.

The fantasy match-up of last season between the Bellevue Wolverines, who have one 10 out of the last 12 3A championships, and the Skyline Spartans, the 4A champions for four of the last five years, will be a reality at the 2013 Emerald City Kickoff Classic, which is Saturday, Sept. 7 at Husky Stadium.

Both teams were undefeated last year, and many, including KJR's Mitch Levy, called for an exhibition game between the two football powerhouses to cap off the 2012 season.

The idea was shot down for the end of last season, but the matchup will be the headline game at this year's Kickoff Classic. Other contests at the game day include Bothell-Coeur d’Alene (Idaho), Lynden-King’s, and Roosevelt-Seattle Prep.

The event will be at the newly renovated Husky Stadium.

Tickets for the event are $15 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens. The ticket includes all four games, according to the WIAA.

The WIAA website is here.
