Bellevue Girls Lacrosse Fall to Issaquah Friday

Mincin nets 8 goals to lead Issaquah girls past Bellevue 21 – 7 in lacrosse

SAMMAMISH – Haley Mincin scored a season-high 8 goals and shelled-out 5 assists to lead Issaquah to its second win of the season with a 21 – 7 girls high school lacrosse win over rival Bellevue, Friday at Skyline High School in Sammamish.

With the win, Issaquah evened its record at 2-2-1 and handed Bellevue its fifth consecutive loss.

Issaquah jumped out to a 15 – 5 advantage at the half and never looked back, scoring another 6 goals in the second half to put the Wolverines away.

Sophie Schiefelbein also had a season’s-best performance for Issaquah, netting 4 goals and contributing 4 assists.

For the Wolverines, Conley Nemyre handled all the of the offense, scoring all 7 goals.

Issaquah (2-2-1) next faces Tacoma (4-2-0), Wednesday, April 20 in a 5:30 p.m. start at Mason Middle School. Bellevue (0-5-0) next faces Eastside Catholic (3-4-0), Wednesday, April 20 in a 5:30 p.m. start on the campus of the Eastside Catholic School in Sammamish.
