Ex-Bellevue Player Schilling Drafted by NFL's Chargers

Selected out of the University of Michigan as a tackle.

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Bellevue native Stephen Schilling was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the seventh round of this year’s NFL draft, No. 201 overall.

Drafted as a tackle, Schilling stands at 6-foot-4 and 308 pounds. He started 49 of the 50 games he played in at the University of Michigan and was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection the last two seasons.

At Bellevue High School he was a three-year starter and was rated as the No. 2 overall player in Washington by Rivals.com. Schilling graduated from Bellevue High School in 2006.

The Chargers and Michigan have not released any direct statements about Schilling.
