Breakdown: Emotions should be running high for Newport, which is reeling from the sudden death of offensive coordinator Tim Driver prior to last weeks’ game against Bothell (the team did not learn of Drivers’ passing until after the game). The Knights beat Bothell 28-24 for a win and will be trying to continue their early season success in a non-league game against Cascade. Newport quarterback Isaac Dotson continued his strong junior campaign against Bothell, accounting for three touchdowns, including the go-ahead touchdown pass to Miles Fowler in the third quarter. Cascade is 0-3 and has been outscored 149-30 in its three games.
