Sammamish Lacrosse to Face Providence in Quarterfinal on Friday

Sammamish only lost once this season to Northshore in March. In its last three games of the season, Sammamish downed Mt. Si, Klahowya and Highline by a combined score of 43 – 15.

Sammamish Lacrosse will host the Division II Lacrosse Quarterfinals playoff game against Providence Classical Christian School Lacrosse this Friday.

Sammamish made the quarterfinals after Brian Headland scored 4 goals to lead the team to the state lacrosse quarterfinals with a 14 – 11 opening round playoff win over Three Rivers, last Saturday at Robinswood Park in Bellevue.

For Sammamish Cooper Horton had 3 goals, Tyler Wright had 2 goals and Matt Young scored a goal and grabbed 14 ground balls.

On the way to the playoffs, Sammamish (17-1-0) only lost once this season in an 11 – 6 decision against Northshore on March 31. In its last three games of the season, Sammamish downed Mt. Si, Klahowya and Highline by a combined score of 43 – 15.

Three Rivers from the Tri Cities finishes the season at 10-7-0. The Tri Cities high school squad entered the playoffs winning two of its last three regular season games including a 17 – 7 win over Oregon’s Hermiston High School on April 25. It then lost to Wenatchee 13 – 4 on May 4 and finished with an 11 – 8 win over Selah on May 6.

According to the Sammamish Lacrosse Club website, Sammamish Lacrosse Club serves Bellevue boys from 3rd-12th grade  who live within the school boundaries of Sammamish High School, Interlake High School and Newport High School.
