The National Football League announced Monday they are moving the December 23 game between the Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers from its 1:25 p.m. start to a 5:20 p.m. start. It will be televised on NBC (or KING 5). This will be the second time these two teams have played in prime time; however, the outcome wasn't in Seattle's favor losing 13-6 during Thursday night football.
The 49ers (9-3-1) play the Patriots in New England this Sunday, while the Seahawks (8-5) will play the Bills in Toronto.
The NFL utilizes “flexible scheduling” on Sundays in Weeks 11-17. Flexible scheduling is used to ensure quality match-ups and give teams a chance to play their way in primetime, according to the NFL. Seattle is coming off a huge bully-win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday 58-0.
