Just over a dozen people came, sang, and rocked out for the Bellevue Downtown Association's annual Rockaraoke contest.

The event featured regular singers who showcased their pipes singing hits while fronting the Rockaraoke band, which plays live tracks. The Rockaraoke band is a regular at the Tulalip Casino and Jazzbones in Tacoma.

This year's winner was Takisha Greenberg, who sang Jet's "Are You Going to Be My Girl?" in a pink jacket, sparkly Converse and a new-wave tie. Greenberg apparently won't have to buy lunch for a while, after winning won two tickets to a live performance at the Parlor Live Comedy club, and gift certificates to the Bellevue Collection, Purple or Lot No. 3, Tap House Grill, Lunch Box Laboratory and the Rock Bottom.
