City Seeks Volunteer Coaches for Fall Leagues

It's soccer season! Help out young people by being coach.

The City of Bellevue is seeking volunteer coaches for its Fall 2011 soccer season. The cornerstone of the Youth Sports & Fitness program is to provide opportunities for kids to participate in fun leagues, regardless of skill and ability.  The goal is to provide all participants with a safe, fun and healthy learning experience and the opportunity to develop lifetime sports and fitness skills.

Coaches should be at least 16, should have a basic knowledge of soccer and a determination to make this the best season ever for all their team members. Volunteers will coach ages 5-6 or 7-9 or 10-12 year olds in soccer, leading practices, teaching fundamentals and communicating with on-site staff and parents of participants. Other duties include reffing league games.

To apply, or for more information, contact Heather Christoff at HChristoff@BellevueWa.Gov or call 425-452-4627. Washington State Patrol check is required.
