Habitat for Humanity Seeks Volunteers Immediately to Ready Its New Store
Looking for that spur-of-the-moment volunteer opportunity? Volunteers urgently needed Aug. 13-17.
Volunteers are needed Saturday Aug. 13 to help open a store to that will benefit Habitat for Humanity of East King County.
Habitat for Humanity of East King County is opening up a second-hand retail store focused on home goods and materials. The store will sell these new and/or gently used items to the general public for a fraction of retail price, with all profits made going toward our homebuilding program. It is slated to open August 20th, and there is much work to be done.
Volunteers are needed to get the store ready for the Grand Opening, especially Saturday Aug. 13, and Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 15-17. Volunteers are not needed Sunday. The volunteer hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm each day to set up the sales floor with shelving and display equipment, move inventory from our storage to the floor, clean items, test appliances and electronics, set up our cash wrap area, etc.
