Hungry To Volunteer? Help The King County Regional Food Drive

Cities throughout King County food drive feeding local hungry people needs volunteers.

Saturday, Sept. 24, is Mayors' Day of Concern for the Hungry. Municipalities throughout King County are coordinating food drives to support  the Emergency Feeding Program of Seattle & King County and its mission to help feed those in need.

It all starts with you!

Volunteer teams of eight to 16 members each are needed to staff local grocery stores, working roughly two-hour shifts to hand out flyers suggesting donations of the most-needed foods. Shoppers purchase items, depositing them in barrels on their way out of the store. The Feeding Program provides the flyers, barrel delivery, donation pickup, and any other support needed. But volunteers are needed in order to make this day a success.
