Seattle Humane Society and Safeway Launch Summer Food Drive to Benefit Local Pets

Collection barrels for pet food donations will be at local Safeway stores

The Seattle Humane Society and Safeway have teamed up for a Summer Pet Food Drive to help fill the shelves of Pet Food Bank, according to the Seattle Humane Society. Collection barrels for pet food will be in  local Safeway stores throughout July.

The Seattle Humane Society's pet food bank helps provide food for the pets of low-income seniors and others who need financial assistance feeding their pets.

1.  Donate canned or dry pet food at your local King County Safeway store in July. Dry dog and cat food is Seattle Humane's greatest need.

Seattle Humane's volunteers pack, load and deliver pet food to local senior centers, low-income housing complexes, food banks and individual homes.
