Volunteers Needed for the Taste of Main Aug. 18

The organizers of Taste of Main are seeking volunteers to help with this event that raises funds for the Children's Response Center's programs to help children who have experienced trauma and abuse.

You can help out with an event that celebrates Bellevue's Main Street and raises money to help children who have suffered trauma or abuse.

Volunteers are needed for the Taste of Main, the summer event that celebrates Old Bellevue restaurants and merchants and raises funds for the Children's Response Center's programs to help children who have experienced trauma and abuse.

The event, in its fourth year, allows visitors to buy passports for samples of delectable appetizers, entrees and desserts from participating Main Street restaurants. Retail shops offer wine tastings.

As attendees taste their way down the street, they can stop for musical performances, art gallery viewings, spa services, a car show, one-day-sales and a variety of other special offers hosted by Old Bellevue’s boutiques and businesses. Activities are also available for children.

Proceeds of the event enable the Children’s Response Center to continue providing unduplicated, essential legal and counseling services to children under 18 in East and North King County who have experienced severe abuse, trauma and child crimes.
