Phantom Lake Elementary School, run by the Bellevue School District, is adjacent to Tillicum Middle School. The middle school sends peer tutors to Phantom Lake. The school also has forged relationships with local senior citizens, including the Granpals program, which allows seniors to read to elementary students. Seniors also get the opportunity to learn at Phantom Lake through the organization SeniorNet, which uses the school's equipment to teach seniors how to use computers. The school offers full-day and half-day kindergarten programs and has a special education preschool. Phantom Lake also has a playground that was dedicated several years ago through a foundation created by former Seattle Mariners baseball player John Olerud. The playground is open to all students, including students with physical disabilities.
