The Jewish Day School is located next door to Temple B'nai Torah. It enrolls preschool through eighth grade students,More and teaches general studies and Judaic studies, including study of Hebrew and the Torah. A class trip to Israel is also organized for the school's eighth graders. After-school activities include a variety of sports and students in middle school are encouraged to participate in student council. Students are expected to perform community service, including on Mitzvah Day, when students go to a variety of nonprofit organizations to volunteer their services. Students approaching their bar or bat mitzvah also choose a service project. Though Jewish culture and religion is a big part of The Jewish Day School, according to the school, about 70 percent of the students are not affiliated with a synagogue or temple.
