During the day, the local hosts of 1150 AM KKNW Altnernative Talk offer commentary and discussion on the environment,More politics, social justice, meditation, financial matters or health. In the evenings, the station still seeks to broaden the mind with a Pacific Northwest hip hop and R&B show, literary audio theater and a show focused on urban affairs. The radio station is run by Bellevue-based Sandusky Radio-Seattle.

Cornerstone Studio has been a part of the Newport Hills community for 15 years. The current owner, Lea Lo, has beenMore an instructor for over 10 years. The studio offers over 50 classes per week including, ballet, jazz, tap, creative movement, hip-hop, breakdancing, contemporary, musical theater, Yoga and conditioning programs. Classes are open to students off all skill levels from age two and up.
