All are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Bellevue Fire Department also runs four Medic One units, which provide emergency medical response.
There are almost 250 firefighters and paramedics throughout Bellevue. According to fire department figures in 2009, the fire department responded to more than 17,000 fires, emergency medical calls and other calls in the city and in surrounding communities that contract with the fire department.
In emergencies, residents are asked to call 9-1-1 on their phones.
