Nilki Benitez, Neighbor

Nilki Benitez is a native of Mercer Island who has recently returned to the Island after a decade of residing on the East Coast.  She has a B.S. in Oceanography from the University of Washington and is a 2010 Acentos Poetry Fellow, the nation's premier Poetry Foundation for Latino poets based in the Bronx, NY.  She has studied poetry under Martin Espada.
