TEDxBellevue issued the following information on the upcoming event:

On September 7th, 100 of the Puget Sound area’s most impassioned change-makers will come together to explore the potential for building a global community that will create A New Reality.

TEDxBellevue envisions a world where where we can discover how to be at peace amid a world growing more complex through environmental, social, political and technological changes are outpacing our evolutionary abilities. How do we work within the constraints of our ancient and primate brains and instincts, but do so in a smarter and deliberative way so as to create time and energy--not battle them? This day-long conference will invite local leaders to engage with ideas worth doing, which can be implemented on a local level to produce tangible, positive impacts in their communities. By bringing together New Reality-driven thinkers and doers, TEDxBellevue will foster a dynamic environment where discussions and collaborations spark real results on a local and global scale.

“Rather than order, prioritize, or cut time out of our current world to seek balance, what if humans faced this New Reality by surrendering to it? Could humans cause an evolutionary leap in humanity right now? There is genome research with implications that this could be the case. TEDxBellevue's theme encourages attendees to discover how to thrive, not survive, the inevitable complexity of our every-expanding world.” said Anna Choi, TEDxBellevuecurator.

Drawing on insights from 7 experts in the fields of science, philanthropy, business, non-profit, art and entertainment, the conference will explore the diverse interpretations and scales of implementation that a New Reality can have. Three speakers include:
