Free Movie Preiere: American Winter

Imagine Housing, Leadership Eastside and Eastside Baby Corner are all working together
to present the Eastside’s first screening of American Winter on Tuesday, August  13th at 6:30 p.m.

American Winter
is a documentary filmed in Portland that follows the personal stories of
families struggling in the aftermath of the Great Recession.  It shows the
new face of poverty in our country and sparks conversation about what the
community can do to support those most in need.

There will be a
facilitated conversation following the screening so that people have the
opportunity to ask questions and to talk in greater depth about what poverty
and homelessness looks like in our Eastside community in particular.

The event is free, but does require registration
