Vandana Slatter Touts Bellevue Council Endorsements

Bellevue City Council candidate Vandana Slatter announced that four of the seven sitting Bellevue council members were among her supporters, including Don Davidson, who was defeated in the primary.

Candidate Vandana Slatter announced that Bellevue City Council members Jennifer Robertson and Kevin Wallace have thrown their support behind her race for position 6.

The endorsements of Robertson and Wallace puts four of the seven sitting city council members in Slatter's camp, including Bellevue Councilwoman Claudia Balducci and of defeated Councilman Don Davidson, who endorsed Slatter last week.

Slatter, who got 26.3 percent of the votes in the primary, was among the two challengers who defeated Davidson for his position 6 seat. Bellevue Parks and Community Services Board member Lynne Robinson was the front runner in the race, with 48.3 percent of the vote. Slatter and Robinson, the two candidates with the most votes, will face off in November.

Robinson's endorsements on the council, according to her website, include Balducci and Bellevue councilmen John Stokes and John Chelminiak.

Both Robinson and Slatter positioned themselves as alternatives to Davidson, who had been on the council on and off since the 1980s.

You can compare the two candidates' endorsement lists on their respective websites.
