After 15 years of running a successful, independent grocery store in St. Paul, MN the owners of Golden Harvest Foods are looking to better reflect their commitment to employees and customers.

The husband-wife team says they opened the store after moving to the U.S. and finding many local stores lacking in customer service. However, a few key pieces were missing at their own store.

Golden Harvest Foods was selected to experience the Wells Fargo Works Project, in which they were given $25,000 and expert mentorship. They used the money to build a website and develop a series of in-store cooking demonstrations for customers, and also to set up a retirement plan for employees.
